| I think the song could also be about an emotionally damaging relationship, not necessarily physical. The girl being pushed into the dirt might reference her destroyed self-esteem. However, it doesn't necessarily have to even be about a relationship. It might even refer to a young woman lost in the world who doesn't know what path to choose, where to go, and the narrator is offering assistance in rising up. |

| This song is about an abusive relationship. The girl is covering up her bruises with makeup and telling her self that it was the last time. Does the guy feel better after doing this?? Well he doesn't stop, until one day he pushed her in the dirt and she didn't feel the pain anymore so she told him that she had enough and she went on to find a new life. |
